Customer Success Specialist

As a Customer Success Specialist at Octopi, you will join a proven and highly successful team that onboards, communicates best practices, and enables our SMB customers to be successful on our SaaS platform: REACH. An ideal candidate has experience being a product expert and has been responsible for training and onboarding customers in the software space. They are passionate about uncovering pain points with customers and working diligently with Sales, Product, Marketing and the Executive Team to resolve any challenges to minimize customer churn. They are not afraid of tough conversations and you have a proactive mentality.

You should also be able to provide insights on client-to-business interactions, improve customer experience through product support, and handle customer complaints and requests. The individual will be given opportunity to help define and grow the Customer Success function for a newly launched product, developing best practices, processes, retention and growth targets and more. You are strategic with your CRM so that you can jump into the weeds and work directly with customers. You make multiple phone calls per day and are always working to ensure each customer is successful and happy. You are never satisfied with status quo. What you will do:

  • Manage a large portfolio of SMB clients.
  • Perform initial onboarding of new accounts ensuring adoption and ongoing engagement thru the customers lifetime.
  • Handle and resolve customer support requests meeting all SLA requirements
  • Use data to track performance, forecast retention, and create customer insight
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales and Product Services to create a positive customer journey that excites customers, improves customer satisfaction, inspires customer advocacy and guides account growth.
  • Be the Reach product expert, providing guidance to client, addressing any business or product challenges while providing feedback to product management team to improve user experience, product capabilities and features.
  • Exceed all performance KPI targets.

Skills required:

  • Minimum 3 years Customer Success experience in a software company.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • SaaS software platform support experience, preferably in SMB space.
  • Startup experience preferred.
  • Experience on-boarding customers at scale.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to collect, organize and analyze information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to perform in highly competitive and fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task with high priority varying projects.
  • Innate ability to problem solves and critically think through situations.
  • Experience in Salon & Spa, Health and Wellness, or Point of Sales a plus!

Compensation: base salary plus incentive plan with full benefits (medical, dental, vision, flexible PTO, paid holidays, 401k, company paid life insurance, short/long-term disability, business casual dress), as well as the ability to be included in the employee profit participation plan.

We have built a consumer engagement platform called REACH that fills our customers’ appointment books automatically, increases customer spend averages and visits into our SMB customers doors while also attracting new customers in a measurable way. How does it work? We partner with leading Point of Sale software companies, integrate our platforms, and sell through to their customers. It is a pure SaaS channel sale. We achieve this though tight partnerships with our Point of Sale partners thereby enabling the vast amounts of data within their systems to become actionable, relevant, and timely. Our REACH CDP feature set spans both online and offline channels, using purchasing and communication preference to support and delight customers. Our focus is on providing optimal returns, campaign development and business decision making for immediate and measurable results.

Additionally, we’ve recently revamped our compensation to make our base pay for this role very competitive in the market, while still offering UNCAPPED commissions! Average OTE is $75,000-80,000 annually, with our top performers making well into six figures!!

The Role:

The role of an Inside Sales Representative at Octopi is to connect with prospective small business merchants in our channel utilizing a consultative selling method and by remaining inquisitive and solution oriented. We sell world-class integrated software products through our partners to their merchants. Our mission is to listen and then educate prospects though a 15-20-minute online demonstration while guiding them to purchasing our products.

  • Proactively connects with prospective customers through outbound calls to understand their needs and educate them on the value of using our software
  • Manages pipeline with a wide range of customers in Salesforce to maximize quality calls with prospects that lead to sales

  • Stays organized to accurately maintain forecast and pipeline to ensure quota achievement
